In 12 years of school, have you ever felt like you don't belong? Of course you have, it's part of the adolescent change. But, it's not something to not be taken seriously of. You see, I'm not an academic person, but I know my creative stuff. The only problem is, the school system has forced us to all fit in this template, and some of us can easily fit in, and others... well, let's just say they're struggling to. Not only are they forcing us to fit in this horrendously-shaped template, we all have different shapes. And that's what's wrong with it.
You can always try to fit in someone else's mold, but why not yours? It'll be much easier and it's much more comfortable, for you. This particular system doesn't think so. If you, as a creative, athletic, and different individual, attempt to fit in this so-called standard, you might as well bid your farewells to your specialties. No one is special if this system keeps going, and everyone will be just the same 'person'.
Luckily, there are people who weren't that serious about school, while that, in my opinion, is truly brave and rebellious, I, for one, can't afford losing what I have now. And that's what's wrong with the school system. In order to be labeled 'smart' you have to get good grades, but in reality, there's many kinds of 'smart', but school made us think that smart means good at mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and so on. But that is actually called 'academic smart', so people who weren't academic smart are going to feel left out (as in get bad grades and risk not getting a college education to pursue their true passion), and so they are forced to fit in this template.
This has been happening ever since we can remember it. Children have been tested to be geniuses in their unique way of thinking, but those same kids, who has grown into adults and adolescents, have been tested to only have a little bit of genius left in them. This is because of the education system. They don't want us to be geniuses, they want us to solve a problem like everybody else. Some of those kids that were tested, who are still a genius even when they had grown into adults, those are are the kids that rejected the school system and rebel their way out of here.
Now, most of the adults and adolescents right now are too late to be saved by this horrible process, but we can try our best to save the upcoming generation. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is it for this post, I hope that's enough material to keep you company until my next post is published, and see you next time!
