Back With Motivations

The scouts tournament is over, the finals are over. So, I haven’t been posting for 2 weeks now and it’s because of the scouts tournament that I participated in and the finals exam that came after it. These past few weeks had already felt long enough to be a whole semester, and here I am, as relaxed as ever. I flunked most of my finals exam but that’s fine, I honestly never felt this calm about an exam before and I think that’s because I’m satisfied with the results of the scouts tournament and was still daydreaming about it days later. I will write more about the scouts competition details in next week post, so don’t forget to check out the blog next Saturday.

In this post, I’d like to make a comeback post to summarized my life and everything that’s been happening in these past few weeks that I’ve been gone, starting from June 2nd when the finals exam started. So, imagine this, you’re tired, you’ve been in a scout tournament that has exhaust you both physically and mentally for the past 3 weeks, and when it’s finally the last day of the competition, you got home in the afternoon at about 8 pm, and well, you’re so tired that you fell asleep while being completely aware that the day after was the day the finals exam started and guess which subject the school decided it would be best to get tested first? Mathematics and History. History is light, it doesn’t scare you, but the thing is, you’re no good at math, every quizzes and tests you’ve had during the semester got perfect grades only because you exhaust yourself to death studying for it, but it’s different this time, because you’re so tired from another thing, the scouts tournament, that you completely zoned out at your math test and get an F, a big fat F! Now that you’ve understand my situation, let’s get back to my point of view. I expect the F, but I feel irritated, because if I had even a C or a B in this one test, then my grade in the school report card would be safe, because I’ve always had and A in quizzes and tests during the semester. But that might not be the case this time. I’m actually worried as hell that I had to repeat a year… I won’t like that, and neither do my parents, so I actually don’t really know how to response to all of this yet. And the worst thing is, every time a new subject’s test grade got revealed, it gets worse. I got a C in both English and Physics, which is ridiculous because I’ve never had anything below an A in English and this semester’s physics’ syllabus is only theories, none of those confusing mathematical equations, we’ve finished learning that in the last semester, so I don’t know the explanation of why I got a C there. And I got a B in Computer Science, and I don’t think it’s a pretty grade, especially because I love programming languages, I learned C++ when I was in Junior High, and mind you, not a lot of Junior High students learn that language. But what, I got a B now? I don’t understand all this. There’s a whole bunch of other subjects that haven’t shared their student’s test grade yet, and I’m getting more anxious of it by the day. That’s all for the finals summarization, and that wraps up the depressing part of this post, but now we get to the fairly fun part.

So, in the middle of the finals exam, there was a 3-day break, 4 days if you count Sunday. It goes on from Friday the 6th to Monday the 9th. And so, my cousin visited, and we made a bunch of great memories in those days. She got back home on Sunday night, so the memory I had in Monday was a completely separate one from that, but nevertheless, I’ve had a great time too. On Friday, we visited our grandparent’s house and I almost had a heart attack because I consumed too much bread… But my sister and I catch up with our cousin, a usual life-update talk. And later in the afternoon we got coffees together, which later became a very stupid decision of mine to come along because I ended up having trouble sleeping that night and wake up at 4 pm the next day. It’s Saturday and I got a second heart attack because I woke up and saw the clock. The previous day, I made a promise to my cousin that we will go out and check out a new stationery store in town the next day, so we did. We ended up going to the stationery store at 7 pm and we bought a couple of stuff. I noticed my wallet started to thin that night. That’s the end of the tragic Saturday. On Sunday, it hits the climax, we go out to a shopping mall and eat Japanese Udon noodles, it was delicious, and then we checked out a couple of stores and just when we thought our business there is finished, our grandma’s sister is having her birthday party in another shopping mall, so we all rushed there to accompany our grandma, and it all ends with my wallet empty and suffering. After that day, I’ve been searching for a part-time job to do this summer so that I can work off all that money back. I really messed up my savings plan this time.

The next section I’m writing about is the events since yesterday. The finals exam is finished on Thursday the 12th and since I go to a public school, which runs entirely using the government’s money (and a little bit from our tuition fee), the governor set this rule where we cannot start summer break until the day our report cards were given, so there’s no breaks after the finals exam, and the student council made this interclass competition where we had to compete with other classes in competitions like rhythmic gymnastics, water relay, sack race, soccer, etc. Each class had to have their own representatives in each competition, and since it’s optional, I didn’t volunteer. But I was forced to do rhythmic gymnastics because our class is short on 2 people and the event committee decided the person who ranked 1st to 4th in class had to fill in if there’s not enough people for the competition, and the person who ranked 1st is on a trip, so she didn’t come to school that day, so the person who filled in is the 2nd ranked student, and me, the third. The problem with the competition is that it’s a choreographic rhythmic gymnastic, that means, everyone who participated had to memorize the choreography and compete. But since the 2nd ranker and I didn’t know we would fill in for the competition, we don’t know what to do. We ended up just following what the other representatives are doing. It’s messy. So, we didn’t make it to the final round. Today, the soccer competition started. And our class is competing with a real rival of ours, they had some kind of “beef” with us because of past incidents, and we lost to them today in the soccer match. I don’t know what is with our rival class but they played so angrily in the soccer match, they looked like smokes could be coming out of their ears anytime soon, I don’t know. I personally don’t understand their hatred to us but I guess now I’ll start hating them too.

That’s all for this week’s post, I hope it’s enjoyable to read because I certainly did not enjoy writing it, for some reason, ants keep coming out of my laptop’s keyboard and I felt one biting at my hand every second… But, set that aside, I made a short version of Artificial Life on Padlet, it’s called the Artificial Life Mini-Blog, and it’s a blog platform where I will be posting short, unscheduled posts every now and then, check it out and see you all next week for the summarization of the scouts competition experience! Goodbye!
